Every organisation has a culture.

A way of working. A way of showing up. A set of values, whether explicitly stated or quietly practised.

The question is whether your portraits reflect that reality, or quietly contradict it.

For many people, the first encounter with your organisation happens long before a meeting or a conversation. It happens through a Google search. A LinkedIn profile. A website visit. In those moments, your images are doing more work than most documents ever will.

Organisational portraiture is not about uniformity or polish for its own sake.

It's about coherence. About presenting people as they are, in a way that feels considered, grounded, and true to who they are, as much as the work they do.

My approach prioritises clarity over performance, and presence over posing.

I work with teams to create portraits that feel intentional without being stiff, professional without being impersonal, and honest without being careless.

These images are well suited for online profiles, organisational websites, internal communications, and select external materials where first impressions matter and credibility counts.

Organisational portraiture sessions are structured to allow sufficient time, attention, and flexibility based on team size and context.

Each engagement is approached with the same level of care. The distinctions below are practical, not hierarchical, and are intended to help you identify what best suits your organisation at this moment.

All sessions include pre-shoot guidance, a relaxed and directed shooting process, careful image selection, and professional processing delivered digitally.

If you are unsure which option is appropriate, conversation is part of the process.

If your organisation has invested time in defining how it wants to be understood, then your portraits should not be an afterthought. They should do their job quietly, consistently, and well.

If that resonates, you can begin a conversation below.

By proceeding to book a session, you agree to the terms and policies.

Notes:

The following applies to all organisational portraiture sessions.

  • Add-ons such as make-up artistry, studio hire, prints, or extended retouching can be arranged at cost, depending on scope.

  • Logistical costs for sessions outside Nairobi, including transport and accommodation, are quoted separately and shared in advance.

  • Professional fees are exclusive of applicable taxes, levies, and statutory charges. A full estimate is provided prior to confirmation.

  • Image processing includes selection, exposure and colour correction, cropping, and tonal refinement in line with my standard of work. Creative discretion is retained as outlined in the terms of service.

FAQ

The responses below cover the most common practical considerations. Anything more specific is best addressed through a short conversation.

"Why should we work with you?"

Because this work sits at the intersection of photography, communication, and perception.

Alongside over a decade of photographic practice, my background spans copywriting, communication strategy, and behaviour-change work. That combination informs not just how the portraits are made, but how they are intended to function once they leave the camera.

Understanding where and how these images will be used is as important as the technical execution.

"Can we choose the location for our photo shoot?"

Yes.

Sessions can take place in a studio, at your offices, or on location. The priority is choosing a setting where the people being photographed feel at ease, and where the environment supports the kind of presence the images need to convey.

"But how do we pose?"

You do not need to prepare poses.

The sessions are guided and conversational. I provide direction throughout, with attention paid to what feels natural rather than forced. The responsibility for detail sits with me, not with you or your team.

"Will you retouch our pictures?"

Processing is deliberate and restrained.

This includes exposure, colour, tonal refinement, and overall coherence. I do not alter features or apply heavy retouching that misrepresents the subject. The aim is clarity, not transformation.

"How long does it take to receive the final edited photos?"

Final images are typically delivered within 2 to 4 weeks, depending on scope and current workload.

Where timelines are critical, this is discussed in advance.

"Does it really matter that much?"

That depends on what your images are expected to do.

If they are meant to quietly reinforce credibility, coherence, and trust, then yes, it matters. If not, then it likely does not.

That distinction tends to become clear very quickly.
